The Univex VORTEX550 immersion blender liquefies soups and purees fruits and vegetables for sauces and other mixtures. Made of fiberglass ABS plastic, the unit is durable and lightweight to reduce muscle strain. With a cooling system, the components will not get too hot and cause overheating. A shaft and whisk for the blender are sold separately; the unit accommodates interchangeable shafts that are 14 or 18 inches long.
