Harvest Assist functionality efficiently moves ice from the head to the bin, which is sold separately. One-touch cleaning does the work for the user, saving them effort and time. Because the head’s interior has an antimicrobial coating, bacterial growth is slowed and sanitation is improved.

Users can monitor the operating status of The Scotsman MC1848SW-32 ice maker with the AutoAlert indicator lights, and the ICELINQ app which provides real-time diagnostics, access to settings, and cleaning and maintenance guidance. The condenser is water cooled, which is most often installed in buildings with recirculating water systems. Because the front panel is self-aligning, users can access interior components for cleaning and service.
