The Hatco C-9 booster heater raises water to 180 degrees Fahrenheit, the necessary level to sanitize dishes. Its 6-gallon tank is lined with Castone, a lasting substance similar to concrete that protects the tank from corrosion and limits limescale buildup. Fiberglass insulation keeps heat inside and provides energy efficiency.

To simplify installation, the Hatco C-9 booster heater is plumbed and wired at the factory, and a swing-away front panel gives service technicians access to electrical components during servicing. For safety, a high-limit switch shuts the heater off if the temperature exceeds the safety maximum. A low-water cut-off switch turns the heating element off when the water level is low, and its pressure-relief valve turns off when there is too much pressure in the unit.
