Users can thermostatically control the unit and set it as hot as 570 degrees Fahrenheit. Before using for the first time, operators should clean the unit's surface with a soft rag moistened with soap and water. A nylon scrubbing pad can be used to remove built-up carbon deposits over time, but wire brushes and steel wool will scratch the surface.
