Users control the planetary mixer with two rotary knobs-one on each side of the unit. It’s able to perform speed ranges as low as 78 RPM and as high as 422 RPM depending on the recipe, and it uses high-torque, direct-drive transmission. For consistent results, it has grease-lubricated, anti-friction ball bearings, and its planetary head is permanently lubricated for smooth movement. Despite the high RPM, its 0.4-horsepower motor keeps the machine quiet throughout operation.

The Varimixer V5-B commercial mixer’s bowl is protected by a stainless steel bowl guard, and a bowl clamp secures the bowl, stabilizing it during use. By tilting the mixer’s head backward, the unit turns off for safety. It’s equipped with an aluminum frame that has a black powder-coated finish to match common kitchen palettes. For a secure mount, this unit comes with provisions for bolting onto a counter or table.
