The Scotsman C1848SA-32 Prodigy Plus ice machine head has Vari-Smart control for ice level customization. It can make as much as 1,909 pounds of small-sized ice cubes in 24 hours, as Harvest Assist technology efficiently moves ice into the separately sold ice bin. With a one-touch cleaning switch, the operator can start the cleaning process, and an antimicrobial agent slows bacterial growth on the internal components between cleanings. Users can incorporate the Smart-Board module, which finds system issues, while the built-in AutoAlert indicator lights communicate status information to the operator. Providing access to service information and warranty history, a QR code comes with the unit.

For general maintenance, a self-aligning front panel on the Scotsman C1848SA-32 provides full accessibility to key internal components. Its air filter is also located on the front for user-friendly changeouts. Inside the unit, WaterSense purge control reduces unwanted minerals and sediment in ice to minimize scale for better tastes and odors. Designed to fit on top of a storage bin, it is 48 inches wide by 24 inches deep by 24 inches high for a secure mount.
